Our Hydro Flask Team is based in breathtaking Bend, Oregon. There is a desert to the East of town and mountains to the West. Our geography says a lot about who we are. We bike, ski, swim, do yoga, run, hike, and play outside. We grill and share kombucha and growlers in our backyards. We go for it wholeheartedly. That may sound like the weekend, but that is how we live every day of the year. We also offer a casual and dog-friendly environment.

Hybrid Schedule: Our Bend, OR team has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office an average of three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding any changes to our hybrid schedule will be communicated as we continue to closely monitor COVID-19 with employee safety is our priority.

What you will be doing:

This multifaceted role is the major force in driving and managing the Hydro Flask brand and the OXO outdoor line. This person will handle critical accounts in the outdoor channel in the US with hyper focus on Key Territory Outdoor accounts including Bass Pro and Sportsman's Warehouse. This individual will have the chance to lead external sales rep groups that service all approved retail accounts.

  • Responsible to create key strategies to drive sales and profitable growth.
  • Drive clear expectations of the marketplace landscape related to competitors, products, pricing, position within channel, new trends, market make-up etc.
  • Communicate annual sales targets for external agencies directed at key accounts.
  • Collaborate and understand retailer analytics to developing monthly dash boards structure for major accounts for review. Drive the channel tactical planning and reporting process.
  • Drive merchandising excellence in store and on-line. Weekly communication with demand planning to ensure accurate product flow and forecasting.
  • Build 3 year revenue plan for entire outdoor channel by category. Filter new account requests.
  • Focus on overall company profitability while attaining growth targets.
  • Develop and lead channel sales assistant including goal setting and weekly planning.
  • Lead credit conversations internally and externally in channel. Act as the key liaison between our national agencies drive sales in the channel.
  • Help agencies identify top 3 accounts in each territory and build plans for each.
  • Develop annual sales targets for agencies. Lead monthly phone calls with field sales and/or key retailer personnel.
  • Provide sales reps with new product information sales reporting tools, sales training to help them effectively drive sales in the respective territories.
  • Conduct monthly calls with outside rep teams to review business in their territories, hi-lighting revenue tracking, new product introductions, retail sales, current and future product opportunities, challenges, operational excellence, new account targets.
  • Plan quarterly market tours in high volume and emerging markets. Develop strategic plan with DOS & SVP to optimize retail opportunities.
  • Create store merchandising game plans with retail marketing to ensure success from our national retail service partner.
  • Develop clear understanding & track product activity, pricing and programs for key competitors.
  • Work closely with sales assistant to develop and grow critical territory accounts and key territory doors.
  • Deliver monthly channel overview senior leaders and key functional partners. Create sales meeting channel goals and targets and deliver to all reps.
  • Identify 1 -2 sales reps or agencies performing best practices to share with all agencies and internal departments during sales meeting.
  • Collaborate with sales team and other departments to find opportunities to improve our performance as a team (ex. investigating and implementing new CRM tool, order entry for reps, EDI implementation for large key accounts, updated sales catalogs or price sheets, etc.).


Skills needed to be successful in this role:
  • Ability to create and deliver effective sales presentations
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, listening skills
  • Good decision making and ability to work with high level of autonomy
  • Ability to optimally engage with all internal and external key team members on matters of account sales strategy and execution


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 + years in sales positions of growing responsibility/scale
  • 5 + years in leading a team
  • 5 + years' experience supporting top accounts for sports or outdoor company
  • Experience developing and handling agency relationships
  • Experience growing revenue through proactive and strategic selling
  • Proficient with MS office
  • Proficient with ERP/CRM programs including report generation and data analysis
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
