This role will support the senior management team that is developing, constructing and operating large scale offshore wind projects which will provide affordable, clean energy and will have a transformational impact on local communities. Purpose

The EMS / Wind SCADA Systems Graphic Developer is a key member of a 24/7 mission critical operations team responsible for providing the technical support & analytical services with limited supervision for the management, design, specification, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of systems and processes that affect operation of renewable generation control systems. This position is based in Vancouver, WA on a Hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• With limited supervision, develop and manage the SCADA graphical interface to provide situational awareness to operations, supporting a highly reliable 10 GW generation dispatch 24/7 control center.
• Develop, configure, and perform maintenance on complex electric SCADA graphical applications using PcVue and FrontVue from ARC INFORMATIQUE.
• Design, configure, test, and maintain SCADA graphical applications such as Control Center HMIs, local plant HMIs, and WEB interfaces.
• Create and document SCADA graphical standard symbols, templates and screens library.
• Comply with NERC / CIP procedures.
• No Travel required.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Industrial Graphic Design, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years experience developing electric SCADA screens.
• Ability to qualify to NERC standards including successful 7 year background investigation and security review.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with management, Plant Operations, and technical personnel.
• High energy and ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Self-motivating and have desire to stay abreast of latest systems technologies relating to optimizing generation system performance.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
• Knowledge of PcVue or FrontVue graphic interface.
• Background in energy management systems, as related to the Wind Energy Business.
• Understanding of NERC / CIP standards.
