Your Role:

As a Scientist in the Analytical Technology group you will be responsible for the development of methods for the analysis of trace metallic impurities in organosilicon, organometallic and other deposition products produced for the semiconductor fabrication industry at our Hometown, PA facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate analytical methods for trace metals analysis and transfer methods to QC laboratories
  • Support new product development
  • Work closely with R&D, production, quality, safety, and operations teams to ensure rapid delivery of new products to customers
  • Perform routine and non-routine sample analysis support
  • Provide analytical and troubleshooting support for product quality issues
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory work
  • Work with ICPMS and other analytical instrumentation, such as GC, GC-MS, NMR, IC, FTIR, RAMAN, TGA
  • Lead and/or participate in designed hazard reviews for analytical projects
  • Lead projects to implement new analytical techniques or technologies

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or other Scientific discipline
  • 5+ years of industrial work experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with ICPMS
OR
  • PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or other Scientific discipline
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with ICPMS

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with chromatographic and spectroscopic methods, with an emphasis in trace metals analysis
  • Analytical method development and validation experience
  • Exceptional problem-solving and instrumental troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced Statistical / Data Mining experience
  • Fundamental and practical experience in the use of statistics and statistical software packages (JMP/Minitab)
  • Creative self-starter with the ability to work independently on projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that support a diverse team environment
  • Ability to work independently and communicate across different business units with colleagues in various time zones
