Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at Tulane University School of Medicine is currently recruiting a board-certified adolescent medicine pediatrician at the Associate or Professor rank to lead the section of Adolescent Medicine.

The Department of Pediatrics at Tulane is committed to providing excellence in education, clinical care, and research. The selected candidate will become actively involved in all aspects of teaching including training medical students and residents. The Section of Adolescent Medicine provides in a wide variety of health care settings to introduce residents and students to the care of adolescents, service to the Department of Pediatrics providing continuity of care clinics and referrals to sub-specialists, leadership in the research and care of adolescents with HIV, the provision of accredited college health programs, leadership in healthcare for homeless youth, and leadership in street and community outreach.  Tulane's Section of Adolescent Medicine provided the only Title X reproductive health clinic on the East Bank of New Orleans.

As a Tulane University employed faculty member, you will receive a negotiable salary commensurate with experience, and a fully comprehensive benefits package, and relocation allowance.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have strong clinical background in adolescent medicine, possess leadership ability; have a strong interest in research and clinical education, and strive for excellence in patient care.  He or she must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, have a solid foundation of operational experience, a strong interest in research, and contribute to the overall mission of the department and the school.
