POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for aspects of the general ledger accounting and monthly account reconciliations for multiple Fortna entities, banking payments processes as well as business licenses maintenance and filings. This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintaining General Ledger by reconciling internal accounts.
  • Assisted with financial statement close process, including closing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Record payroll transactions into the general ledger.
  • Managing fixed assets.
  • Review, record, and analyze cash transactions; reconcile cash GL accounts.
  • Supporting the month end close process and reports required.
  • Assist with audit requests during interim and annual audit reviews.
  • Reviewing and developing internal control procedures.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize the company's accounting procedures.
  • Assisting management in Human Resources, Legal and IT with accounting related functions.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong comprehension of accounting theory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and rapidly changing organization
  • Detail orientation and organized in work
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to overnight travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job

The base salary range for this role is $64,200 to $96,300. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
