Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is primarily responsible for technical accounting analyses over complex accounting areas, and assists with the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Perform accounting over key areas such as stock-based compensation, equity, impairment assessments, consolidations, investments, etc. as assigned
  • Reconcile key general ledger accounts related to long-term incentive compensation awards
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial internal reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of the Company's quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and related disclosures on Form 10-K and Form 10-Q
  • Experience with Oracle, Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management systems strongly preferred
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the annual proxy statement
  • Assist in review of XBRL tags for Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings
  • Assist with other corporate stock transactions where applicable (e.g., ESPP, corporate acquisitions, stock splits, etc.)
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, investigative research, and GAAP research on other financial reporting technical projects as needed
  • Assist with process walkthroughs and testing of internal controls over financial reporting for the purpose of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
  • Assist with creating and maintaining quality process documentation
  • Act as a resource for the documentation of new accounting and/or financial reporting processes
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
    • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
    • Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures

Work environment? Up to 3 days remote per week (hybrid model)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in public accounting or 3-4 years at a publicly traded company with applicable experience
  • Demonstrated experience with stock-based compensation accounting and a general understanding of GAAP preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • XBRL Foundation Certified preferred
  • Advanced level computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel required; intermediate proficiency with MS Word and Outlook required; intermediate proficiency in Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase or other database accounting systems strongly preferred; experience with UBS or other stock awards software preferred
  • Workiva experience strongly preferred
