RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Architect in Fenton, MO.Primary Responsibilities:- Architecture/Design/Engineering - Senior Architect will provide architecture and design leadership on projects and in day-to-day activities to ensure reliable, secure, available, manageable and well-performing applications and platforms; Lead through influence as an individual contributor in the design, engineering, development, and implementation of technical and application solutions to meet business requirements that are cost effective and sustainable; Leverage strong software development/engineering background to provide software engineering expertise and technical leadership to application development/engineering teams
- Technology Strategy - Establish the strategic direction and influence the execution of division application technology, including the technology stack (front/back-end application, services, middleware, and database), business application capabilities, platforms, tools, and processes; Conduct and lead technology research, evaluation, selection, design, and project activities
- Technology Platform Architecture/Engineering/Support - As a Senior Architect, you will establish, influence and help execute cloud services, hosting, and DevOps initiatives; Ensure architectural characteristics (extensibility, reliability, security, availability, performance, manageability, scalability, and disaster recovery) of applications and services are met in collaboration with development teams; Provide escalated support in collaboration with software engineering teams for technology ecosystem and incident/problem management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
- 10 years of experience in software engineering, development and/or application architecture
- Strong software development and engineering background
- Extensive knowledge Java, web services, Spring Boot, NodeJS, TypeScript, SPA frameworks, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), persistence and caching strategies, integration technologies, design patterns, DevOps, AWS, and information security technology
- Experience in product and agile delivery models
- Advanced knowledge of best-in-class technical tools, techniques, patterns, and processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
