GPIseeks aSenior Structural Bridge Engineerfamiliar with the design of bridges for NYSDOT and other NY agencies to join our team in either our Buffalo or Rochester, NY offices. We are seeking someone with a good work ethic, a desire to learn and mentor others, the willingness to work collaboratively with our team, and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing highway bridges and other structural design projects
  • Directing and mentoring junior engineers and technicians
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Negotiating agreements including scope, budget, schedule, and fee
  • Maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure contractual obligations
  • Checking calculations and/or directing the design procedures of others to ensure that calculations are performed in accordance with AASHTO design standards or other requirements
What You Bring to the Table:
  • BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree a plus)
  • New York State PE required
  • 8+ years of experience working in the bridge design profession
  • Experience working in a team environment providing technical direction to a design team on highway bridge projects (NYSDOT and / or LAFA Project experience preferred)


  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
