Job Description Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst is accountable for managing the process and exceptions associated with assigned general ledger accounts and all related activity. Utilizing the PayPal Financial systems (PFIT), this position will assist in analyzing reconciling differences and determining root cause analysis. The analyst is also accountable for the proper classification of assigned accounts and the reasonableness of the balances. This position will be responsible to lead projects that drive end to end improvement in processes, which ultimately affect the team and its stakeholders. This position will also be involved in the testing and implementation of new products and processes.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Lead the execution of end to end process improvements, including the development and delivery of key metrics. Timely and effective reconciliation of all assigned General Ledger accounts, including effective process and exception management in accordance with Company Policy. Ensure accurate posting of general ledger entries in SAP and customer accounts. Work cross-functionally to develop and implement end-to-end solutions that improve the organization's ability to provide accurate, timely, defect free financial statements. Learn new systems and Operational Excellence techniques well enough to become recognized as a subject matter expert. Participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
III. REQUIRED PERFORMANCE

Meet or Exceed expectations level for all specific duties outlined above. Demonstrate the ability to perform analytic responsibilities and to put forth recommendations and process improvements. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the team's processes and the business products, transactions, systems and related process flows. Understand the implications from the transaction level, to the reconciliation level and then up to the general ledger of various money movement accounts. Demonstrate a high level of job discretion. Performance is evaluated against the ability to adhere to the PayPal values and behaviors including exercising good judgment, demonstrating a desire and ability to make good decisions, displaying a heightened level of accountability, demonstrating a sense of responsibility, confidentiality and professionalism. IV. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education

Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Systems preferred

B. Experience

6+ years relevant work experience in accounting operations preferred, including experience in high volume, complex general ledger reconciliations 6+ years of relevant financial statement preparation and analysis experience preferred Significant skills/experience in analytics and process management Natural facilitator and change agent Project management experience Experience working with cross -functional and international teams Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel Experience with SAP systems preferred. Experience with other external systems and software a plus (reconciliation tools, data warehouse, etc.) System and process architecture, troubleshooting, reengineering and mapping Financial institution or payments industry experience a plus
