What's the role?

The HERE Technologies' Communications team is seeking a Senior Communications Manager for North America, based in Chicago. In this role, you will help position HERE as the leading provider of location data , l ive mapping capabilities and spatial intelligence for organizations around the world.

With the company's technology used in autonomous driving, e-commerce logistics and supply chain management, a significant part of your role will be driving media engagement with technology and business journalists . At our core, we tell great stories while raising brand awareness in the U.S. In this role, you will serve as a spokes person for HERE while being a part of the global team driving corporate, product and partner news opportunities .

Reporting: You are a member of the Corporate Communications team, report ing to the Director of Global Media Relations at HERE.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for leading and executing bi-annual communications plan s , understanding how to navigate the B2B and B2B2C media environment.
• You are managing the day-to-day activities of our U.S. public relations agenc y .
• You are working efficiently and collaboratively with peers across Communications and Marketing, who are often located around the world.

Who are you?

• M inimum of 8 years of media relations, corporate communications or PR agency experience, with any additional experience as a journalist an advantage.
• T rack record in business and technology communication, ideally with an established network of media contacts , and ability to translat e complex technology into stories.
• Team player and accountable, who can act as a consultant to senior management.
• A strong "can do" mentality, able to build from scratch, set up structure and processes and find solutions to challenges .
