Position Summary

ITT Inc. is looking for a Senior Director of Communications to join their Industrial Process division. The role will be located in Seneca Falls, NY with some travel required. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction regarding integrated communications and reputation management as it applies to ITT's Industrial Process segment and the region it serves. We are looking for a proven communication leader who can lead through change and growth and is a strong communicator with excellent judgement.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic counsel and drives strong execution against key business priorities.
  • Establish and execute overall IP communications strategy and messaging, including internal, external, social media, and serve as Global Value Center spokesperson
  • Drive strategic communications for key initiatives such as Union relationships and merger and acquisition opportunities
  • Lead issues management communications in critical IP regions, working with other stakeholders in the region and across the company.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key media and thought leaders, including editors, journalists and other third-party influencers in the regions in which IP has a presence.
  • Oversee Product Manager and help develop global brand strategies.
  • Executive leadership support for IP and the regions in which it operates including talking points, speeches and other thought leadership materials.
  • Support and help drive Higher-Performance and other culture change management campaigns across the IP value center.
  • Partner with Vice President Communications to develop and improve tools and technologies for internal and external communications to strengthen stakeholder engagement.
Position Requirements
  • High potential executive with 10+ years of experience creating and implementing successful corporate communication and risk strategies within a complex and heavily matrixed corporate environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of defining challenges and goals and setting strategic direction to accomplish immediate and long-range objectives that address business issues and build trust across all stakeholder groups.
  • Proactive and forward thinking with a track record of anticipating, and developing plans to address, future events, trends, problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to get things done through effective partnering and collaboration; open to trying different, creative ways to deal with business challenges and opportunities to ensure the team's objectives are met.
  • Strong influencer and partner to peers and senior leaders across the organization; ability to leverage relationship to help navigate the complex and ambiguous situations that may arise.
  • Executive gravitas to hold his/her own with senior leaders internally and with external constituents.
