The Team - Marketing Technology (aka MarTech):
MarTech team is responsible for the technology & experiences driving PayPal marketing activities touching millions of customers worldwide. Team is on a transformational journey to consolidate disparate tools onto a common marketing stack on Salesforce Marketing Cloud that can automatically drive intelligent decisions about the next best action for any given customer based on how they interact with PayPal products & services. In order to succeed in this endeavor, we are creating an ecosystem that brings together people, process & platform as one; offering our customers a hyper-personalized experience that is both timely and relevant. The team comprises of highly skilled product managers & experienced technologists who work closely with data scientists & marketers to implementing solutions that drive value for our customers and ultimately to PayPal. For you to succeed on this team it is important to be comfortable working in a multi-functional setup, demonstrate high degree of autonomy, stay curious, willingness to learn & experiment, and help drive best of class engineering practices.

Job Description:

Senior Director of Product for Marketing Technology will drive strategy and guide a team of Product Managers through the transformation journey of rolling out Salesforce Marketing Cloud across all customer segments (B2B & B2C). The leader will require extensive familiarity of Salesforce Marketing Cloud stack and be an effective advocate for the team by guiding stakeholders on the art of possible. In this role, the leader will be required to work closely with Marketing leadership, align with Marketing vision, and drive enterprise alignment for the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Build, coach and lead a strong team of product managers through the implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Drive innovation by identifying new opportunities based on research, industry trends and best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, analytics, data science, program, architecture, development) to drive alignment to marketing strategy.
  • Build trust and effective relationships with peers/cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders to communicate vision, strategy, goals, status, and customer impact.
  • Evangelize roadmaps and build strong relationships with key stakeholders that will allow team to understand gaps and prioritize right solutions.
  • Collaborate with geo distributed teams of developers, platform specialists, product management team and various stakeholders spanning across multiple time zones.

Requirements:
  • Experience in leading large scale Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation covering Pardot, SFMC, Interaction Studio, CDP, Datorama and Tableau CRM.
  • 15+ years of product management experience in Digital Marketing domain.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product leadership role having experience landing SaaS implementations.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in defining OKRs, measure KPIs, and bring clarity of execution to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to practice strong ownership, drive change in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Fearless leader able to constructively advance opinionated perspective, well-informed by industry and customer analysis, to all levels of organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Education & Experience required:
  • Innovation, Design or Product management degree with some Computer engineering education / certifications / experience.
  • Multiple year experience in delivering engineering focused products in Agile and Lean environment.
  • Essential experience in managing multiple small/medium workstreams in parallel.
  • Digital marketing experiences a big plus
  • Experience leading and managing geo distributed cross-functional teams including Product team
