What you will be doing:

Lead the software and mobile app development for the next generation of connected products. Develops strategy and architecture for embedded, app, IoT, sensors and data analytics through external development and internal collaboration. Ensures use of software is efficient, scalable, effective, and secure. Plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with project partners. Work across the organization to integrate software engineering into the product development process through a deep understanding of agile strategies, methods, and evolving them to scale.


  • Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements.

  • Maintains and enhances existing applications, and platforms.

  • Fixes and debugs sophisticated issues; identifies and implements solutions.

  • Builds detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates.

  • Researches and implements new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance.

  • Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to security guidelines.

  • Works closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs.

  • Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, for all project development.

  • Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product development and/or customer requirements, per the product and/or marketing requirements document.

  • Ensure that the product is fully and correctly defined and documented.

  • Ensure implementation of formal processes to support the product development process.


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into tactical action plans and establish teams which can implement those plans.

  • Solid understanding and management experience of the modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another appropriate field

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably experience in Full Stack

  • 2+ years of full lifecycle development projects bringing consumer products or similar to market.

  • Experience in software development solving varied software related problems, reviewing, and testing software components for alignment to the design.

  • Experience with a variety of sophisticated concepts, practices with procedural and object-oriented software development methodologies, web services development, and configuration management.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full Stack knowledge and expertise.
