Position Overview

As part of the global diversified building materials group, CRH, is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Financial Analyst to join a recent acquisition out of Hillsboro, Oregon. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and maintaining key financial reporting and metrics for company leadership.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • Work with the business to create a suite of KPI's to help drive business performance and support strategic decision making. To cover both Operational and Management stakeholder requirements and include market information and trends.
  • Analyze information gathered to draw meaning & identify patterns and trends. Presenting information in a variety of ways with commentary to ensure the story is communicated successfully.
  • Partner with the Wastewater Managing Director to ensure a strong Financial understanding and to share insights gathered.
  • Capitalize on existing available data and work with Business Managers to develop and refine processes to improve data availability, taking the team through the change process.
  • Plan and build reporting structures and hierarchies within Power BI to ensure the right information is in the right place at the right time. Work closely with IT teams to ensure effective and efficient deployment.
  • Validate information to provide quality assurance and monitor use to adjust as necessary.
  • Input on development of policies & procedures for standard data collection and assumptions with the IT department to ensure consistency across the Group.
  • Build relationships with the wider Finance team and offer training to improve F,P&A capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to engage with colleagues across different business functions, locations, and a variety of personalities.
  • Experience in presenting & analyzing financial data to create a story to present to non-financial colleagues in an approachable manner.
  • Confidence in challenging data integrity to ensure accuracy of information shared.
  • Ability to handle and manipulate data to a high standard, using appropriate software tools, including but not limited to Power BI & Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-driven with the ability to prioritize workload and work in a systematic and organized manner to ensure work is completed within required timescales.
  • Strong commercial financial understanding.
