The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer for its client located in the Chicago area.

Job Description:

As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within our electronics team, spearheading the development of new product architectures, executing hardware circuit designs, liaising with manufacturing partners, and providing guidance to fellow team members. Your responsibilities will extend to system engineering, crafting technical specifications, and leading the team in devising cutting-edge control solutions while maintaining a keen focus on product cost, quality, and schedule adherence. Collaboration with product management, software teams, and occasional engagement with clients will be integral to your role as you contribute to defining new products and addressing issues with existing ones. Anticipated travel requirements are less than 10%, including international travel.

Experience and Skills:

•5+ years of hands-on hardware design experience

•Proficiency in designing embedded analog and digital circuitry and systems utilizing embedded microcontrollers.

•Strong grasp of power supply design, covering DC point-of-load, isolated AC/DC, and non-isolated high-voltage supplies.

•Demonstrated experience in mixed analog/digital signal conditioning.

•Familiarity with industry standards

•Track record of designing for high-volume manufacturing with a focus on DFM, testability, sustainability, and sourcing considerations.

•Competency in eCAD schematic entry, PCB layout tools, and PSPICE simulation.

•Proficient in design verification including test plan development, lab testing, and result documentation.

•Strong leadership skills to mentor junior engineers, make cost and performance tradeoff decisions, and prioritize tasks effectively.
