About the job:

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Senior Instrument Technician is responsible for and skilled in all areas of the Sterile Processing Department and for the daily supervision, management, and oversight of clinical operations.

What you'll do:
  • Performs decontamination process procedures.
  • Performs assembly process and procedures.
  • Performs sterilization process and procedures.
  • Performs sterile storage and inventory control process procedures.
  • Performs case cart preparation process utilizing appropriate pick sheets/preference cards.
  • Coordinates, directs and supervises the activities of the Sterile Processing Department.
  • Responsible for orientation of new associates and to assist those associates to become independent in all areas.

What we're looking for:
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Licensure / Certification: IAHCSMM or CBSPD Certification required. IAHCSMM Certification for Healthcare Leadership preferred.
  • Experience: @ 15 months experience and completed Advancement Goals to Instrument Technician III.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Effective mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage others, and provide support for all aspects of clinical operations. Must possess skills to create an effective team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
