Based in beautiful IL, we are a solutions based company that is an expert in tracking people, equipment, environmental conditions, and more to provide strategic insight into the utilization and data flow of assets so our customers can make better informed decisions for planning and purchasing. Due to recent growth and demand for our services, we are in need of a Senior IOT Engineer skilled in Linux and scripting, communication protocols such as TCP and HTTP(s), and understanding of network components including switches, firewalls, gateways, etc.
What You Will Be Doing You will be responsible for the administration and configuration of IoT devices deployed on customer premises while you (remotely) monitor, detect and remediate various connectivity and/or configuration issues of deployed devices on customer managed networks. You will also work with customer IT departments whenever necessary in order to remediate unknown network issues on customer infrastructure that prevents proper function of devices.
What You Need for this Position - BS in CS or equivalent degree and experience
- 4+ years experience as an IOT engineer or similar role
- 4+ years working with Linux distributions and scripting
- 4+ years experience working with communication protocols such as TCP, HTTP(s), and SSH
- 4+ years experience understanding network components, front-end load balancers, webservers, proxy servers, etc.
- 4+ years working with AWS or other IoS architectures.
