We are actively hiring for a Senior IT Data Protection Engineer. Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.

We are looking for motivated, innovative individuals, who think big and move fast with a passion for service excellence.

You are responsible for and support analyzing data models, databases, structured and unstructured data on-prem and cloud. Design, develop, configure and maintain associated data protection solutions and processes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with security to evaluate protection mechanisms and design and deploy according to their recommendations.
  • Work with the application and database teams to understand their data environment and protection context.
  • Craft and develop processes and/or tools that application teams can use to integrate the data protection into their systems.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams to deliver data protection in a timely manner.
  • Estimate, code, test, and deploy features.
  • Research new and improved designs and present them to your team, management, and partners.
  • Deliver software in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Provide technical analysis, design, code, and automation in support of program and project work you're doing using data technologies (big data, data warehouse, and data ETL).
  • Participate in design sessions, implementation plans, and resolve technical issues as needed.
  • Ensure that technical solutions are aligned with Enterprise Architecture and applications and systems are built for uninterrupted availability, meet performance requirements, future extensible, multiple system integrations, long-term growth, and low-maintenance support.
  • May lead other engineers on a project basis.
  • Coordinates, schedules, installs and tests hardware and software changes.
  • May perform capacity and resource planning, risk operations risk, and create contingency plans for systems of high complexity.
  • Researches new products/processes for his or her domain of expertise such as software, hardware, security, mobile communications, storage, or messaging.
  • Researches issues and possible problems with potential upgrades to existing infrastructure.
  • Develops testing and implementation plans.
  • Works with other engineers to plan installations and upgrades and ensure subsequent maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitors system to achieve optimum performance levels.

What would make us excited about you?

  • 5+ years in IT working in multiple system environments
  • Understanding of enterprise data protection technologies and security protocols
  • Ability to implement platform upgrades and migrations
  • Knowledge of basic ITIL framework and processes
  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

In compliance of Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $110,415-$129,900 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
