Overview

PMW 230 Logistics Integrated Information Systems-Marine Corps (LI2S-MC) is the primary acquisition organization for sustaining and modernizing the United States Marine Corps (USMC) family of information systems that support logistics chain management (LCM). PMW 230's portfolio includes the Business Systems Category (BCAT) 1 Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Logistics Support Systems (MLS2), several mid-tier Enterprise Logistics Information Systems (ELS2), as well as a number of joint systems.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual to serve as a Logistics Specialist in support of PMW 230.
Responsibilities

  • Support sustainment planning, implementation, and execution.
  • Provide skilled professional guidance to the assigned acquisition workforce (Team Leads, Systems Engineers, Life Cycle Logistics [LCL]) of the required sustainment planning products and documents and assess the quality of the development process and product.
  • Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services IAW DoD regulation and policy such as DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5000.75
  • Performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of Defense Business Systems (DBS) supportability and/or maintainability programs
  • Research and compile logistics assessment information, assist in the development and updates to Sustainment Support documentation to include the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) and Capability Support Plans (CSP) IAW DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 5000.85, DoD Instruction 5000.75, and DoDI 5000.87, and program SOPs
  • Assist with development of logistics acquisition and sustainment documentation that includes but is not limited to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs), Market Research Reports, Performance Requirements (PRS), and Acquisition Strategies
  • Evaluate the ILS elements for products that require government approval such as LCSP, CSP, Core Logistics Assessment (CLA), Business Case Analysis (BCA), and Integrated Logistics Assessment (ILA)
  • Prepare and provide input into the formulation of short and long-range logistics and product support planning
  • Support logistics audits and audit readiness testing by maintaining, collecting, reviewing, updating, and providing logistics and sustainment documentation
  • Develop, modify, prepare, and/or validate documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and information systems
  • Participate in program reviews and working groups/events/activities to ensure all ILS requirements are met
  • Coordinate with various programs across the portfolio to ensure the DON Application Database Management System (DADMS) is updated and assist programs with making any required updates
  • Monitor and proactively alert the assistant program managers to software maintenance contracts and/or licenses that require renewal in a timely manner to not impact program schedule and sustainment requirements
  • Coordinate and monitor all acquisition logistics and sustainment functions as assigned
  • Participate in the evaluation of technical proposals and development of acquisition strategies for system acquisitions
  • Participate in program reviews and working groups/events/activities
  • Propose acquisition logistics thresholds, objectives, and Milestone Decision Review exit criteria
  • Participate in all system acquisition phases and Milestone Decision Reviews, as appropriate
  • Participate in the configuration management (CM) process to ensure ILS requirements are met
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and other responsible organizations to track the status of corrective actions
  • Identify, analyze, and provide mitigation strategies to eliminate program risks related to schedule and performance
  • Develop and update project briefs as required
  • Develop and submit bi-weekly and monthly status reports
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant developments in area of expertise
  • Develop and deliver working level and senior leadership briefs
  • Provide general documentation support
Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • SECRET clearance.
  • 5 years' relevant experience with Bachelor's in Management, Business, Logistics Management, or related field with at least three (3) of these years in logistics management in DON programs
  • 3+ years in Project Management or Project Support role.
  • Ability to operate within a rapid-pace, dynamic environment, often-times managing multiple programs concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
  • Excellent customer/client management skills and techniques - internal and external.
  • Experience on an Acquisition Program.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in a program office on agile transformation projects
  • Knowledgeable in industry best practices, (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management Institute (PMI), and relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI ACP, etc.).
  • Experience with acquisition related processes and deliverables (e.g., Statement of Work (SOW) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs)).
