Job Summary

  • In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Senior Mammographer performs a variety of mammography, bone density, and ABUS exams with optimal image quality and patient care practices. Assists with interventional breast procedure preferred.
  • Responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Women's Health Center department.
  • Provides supervision for the Women's Health Center staff in the absence of the Site Supervisory

Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Education: Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology Program:
  • Licensure / Certification: ARRT Registered. Must be Certified in Mammography through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Valid State of Ohio Radiological License, required.
  • Current BLS certification required.

Experience:
  • Three years of experience preferred in mammography with an understanding of Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations/quality control.
  • Effective Communication Skills necessary to work with patients, associates, and physicians.
  • Demonstrates technical ability as required by The American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Ability to perform professional duties with minimal supervision.
  • Corrective action level of written or above will lead to removal of Senior status.

  • Takes responsibility to facilitate improvements in patient services, staff/physician relationships and the working climate.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks and direct patient care activities requiring independent judgment and initiative.
Other Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures that daily operations and patient flow are maximized while providing excellent customer service.
  • Proactively assists other WHC sites with staffing needs as needed.
  • Follows guidelines for Radiation Safety as outlined in the MCHS Radiation Safety PolicyManual.
  • Follows guidelines for Radiology Services policies that pertain to Women's Health Center.
  • Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
  • Participates in and fosters a performance improvement approach that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.
  • Assists with the implementation of established safety regulations and required to respond correctly in emergency situations.
  • Is a resource with regard to Off Site Safety and navigating all components of the Off Site Safety manual.
