The Senior Payroll Accountant will oversee and maintain optimal function of the organization's internal payroll systems, which will include payroll administration, data integrity review and benefit processing. This position acts as a central coordinator between the business' HR and Payroll functions.

Responsibilities: the core responsibilities of this role are to ensure accurate setups of employee data, timely processing of pay and employee benefit deductions, and management reporting

Key Job Functions

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of payroll processing
  • Maintain Payroll Reporting
  • Coordinate processing of Year End Tax Gross Ups
  • Coordinate processing of Year end bonus and match
  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner via audits and reports.
  • Process off-cycle check and pay runs
  • Maintain proper benefit and deduction balances
  • Review and improve payroll policies and procedures
  • Interpret new legislation impacting payroll
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production
  • Manages issues resolution with UKG relating to payroll
  • Maintain PTO and Holiday Balances and YE Rollovers
  • Maintain management reporting on Pay and PTO
  • Prepare and review payroll GL account reconciliations
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of 401k deductions, loans, and garnishments
  • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Assist Payroll Manager as needed
