As a Senior Software Automation Engineer, you will work within our Software Quality discipline to design, implement, and support enterprise scale testing frameworks and solutions to allow for rapid testing and deployment of complex interconnected software solutions. In this role, you will seek to understand customer usage models and develop test plans, automation harnesses and test suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests. You will also be responsible for driving the software development process toward quality-first methodologies.

As a Senior Software Automation Engineer, a typical day might include:

  • Evolving more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions
  • Developing test strategies for continuous delivery, partnering cross-functionally with other teams to help build a stable and reliable integration environment
  • Triaging nightly regression automation runs and assisting in automated deploy preparations
  • Working across development teams to identify risks and collaborate on building automated tests for new features
  • Learning, leveraging, and sharing new technologies and best practices with peers
  • Participating in quality initiatives within your team and the overall QA department
  • Participating in overarching automation initiatives
  • Develop test strategies and create appropriate test harnesses that replicate the widest possible range of user input
  • Create and maintain a 'gold standard' test data set to ensure the highest quality product delivery with successive releases
  • Evaluate new product functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess product quality
  • Automate the validating of modern user interfaces and messaging infrastructures
This job might be for you if:
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • You have deep experience in a test or development role as part of a product development organization which has delivered consumer or enterprise software products
  • You have expertise working with Restful APIs and frontend UIs
  • You have a experience with writing End-To-End tests with any Webdriver-based UI framework, such as Protractor
  • You are familiar with non-functional testing concepts. Bonus points for experience with design and automation of performance, load tests etc.
  • You have working knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins
  • You want to be an integral part of an innovative, high-performance Development team
  • You thrive working in a fast-paced, Agile environment where you release every few weeks
