Essential Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Developer- Machine Learning Engineering within the Technology department, you will be developing solutions to productionize and operationalize algorithms as services for enterprise-level consumption. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Technology teams, and Delivery Managers to deliver highly impactful capabilities that drive CarMax's iconic omni-channel experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years' software-engineering experience in an enterprise-level environment
• 2+ years' experience with microservices software architecture
• 2+ years leading the end-to-end design and development of scalable services to be consumed by the enterprise, including monitoring and production support
• Proficient in the Python programming language
• 2+ years' experience building enterprise-level solutions with Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud technologies
• Experience in DevOps practices, testing frameworks, and CI/CD
• Excellent communication skills, adapting to various audience types
• Experience on a fast-paced, highly collaborative agile team within a Product-oriented organization
• Ability to positively influence team operations, culture, and technical vision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Proficient in an object-oriented programming language (i.e. C#, Java)
• Interest in machine-learning and/or AIaaS
• Familiarity with MLOps and industry-standard machine-learning Python libraries
