RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Fort Lauderdale, FL.Responsibilities:

• Determines budget, disbursements and expenditures of money and capital assets, communicating cash flow, developing company policies and procedures
• Supervises accounting general ledger activities and the monthly and annual closings, including account reconciliation and analysis; Provides detailed and complex operational analysis
• Ensures continuous improvement within the finance and accounting function
• Participates in divisional business plans which ensure the financial and accounting needs of the company are met.
• Supervises cost management and makes sure all employees take ownership for cost management
• Leads operational analysis activities to meet target strategic plans
• Analyzes problems and makes decisions and recommendations
• Fosters strong partnerships with the other departments, regarding accounting and finance issues and projects
• Leads other Accounting and Finance personnel on related projects
• Helps build a strong culture and team; Requires excellent leadership and facilitation skills

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, detail focused, adept problem-solving, good decision making and organization planning aptitude as well as ability to multitask
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of office software packages - MS Word, Excel, Office PowerPoint and QuickBooks
