Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst - Income Tax at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Reporting to the Income Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Analyst's primary responsibilities involve preparing and/or reviewing federal/state/local income and franchise tax returns, schedules, extensions, andestimated paymentsin line with the company's cyclical tax filing calendar; performing and documenting tax research; supporting and assisting with quarterly income tax provision reporting; assisting with tax technology upgrades and implementations.

Position Responsibilities

• Compilingdata and performing the required analysis and calculations to complete tax return work papers
• Reviewing tax returns and schedules prepared by others
• Identifying tax issues/opportunities for referral to senior management
• Researching and documenting tax positions and planning matters
• Compiling data to support audit response and requests for information from taxing authorities
• Monitoring tax laws, regulations, court decisions and proposed regulations to identify potential tax saving opportunities or exposures
• Building successful working relationships with internal personnel and external service providers
• Implementing process automation and efficiency initiatives
• Maintaining tax compliance calendar
• Other projects as assigned

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years tax experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
• Excellent computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with tax compliance and provision software
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong tax research skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
• Strong time management skills
• Track record of being an independent problem solver and strategic thinker
• CPA, MAC, and/or MBA preferred
• OneSource tax platform experience including Workflow Manager preferred
• Mergers and acquisitions compliance experience preferred
• Extensive fixed asset analysis experience preferred
• Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred
