HORIBA Instruments Incorporated is seeking a Service Repair Tech, located in Piscataway, New Jersey to support our U.S. Scientific business segment. The HR Representative position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Representative maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

HORIBA Scientific offers 200 years of experience in developing high-performance scientific instrument and analytical solutions for life sciences, material sciences, water, energy and many other applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Working on in-house repairs for OSD, Forensics and Fluorescence. This Position will also support the testing and QC of service accessory orders.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Hands on, good troubleshooting skills, mechanically inclined, quick learner.
  • Previous customer service repair support experience ( preferred).
  • 2-4 years degree in Electronics or related field preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handles in-house customer repairs.
  • Use ServiceMax to update work orders.
  • Support Production as required.
  • Improve/Update documentation
  • Other duties may be assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • May handle customer phone and email support.
  • Writes procedures as needed.
  • Works on ways to improve instrument quality and or reliability where possible through engineering change requests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent in science or technology from two-year college or technical school plus 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
