Presently, MAG is seeking the following position:

Service Support Manager

SUMMARY

Effectively promote and maintain customer relationship and product service. Coordinates service sales accounts and procurement of paid service and rework for the Service Department. Also, assists Director of Service in daily operation of Service Department including resource allocation, budgets, conformance, customer contact, warranty resolutions.

Essential duties and responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain working relationship with customer personnel involved in operating and maintaining company equipment. Monitor and log conditions of machines in assigned territory and recommend corrective action if problems arise. Promote sales of service parts through knowledge of customer spare parts list and their needs. Ensure the company Sales Engineer is aware and involved, where feasible, with sales parts and or machine service. Responsible for reporting hazardous or libelous operating conditions to customer and/or MAG Authorities. Maintain awareness of competitive activities and customer personnel changes and advise management.

Function as working leader with service personnel during new machine or component installation.

Education:

Associates degree in technical field and or equivalent work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical machine operations and communications skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision while working on the PC, and ability to adjust focus.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate depending on traffic in the office. The noise volume can be loud when visiting customers in the plant.
