We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to help design, build, operate, and scale our mission and business critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the overall reliability of Umbra's mission critical systems
  • Build and maintain new and existing cloud infrastructure using terraform, infrastructure as code, and GitOps
  • Participate in a holistic security culture to protect our systems and reduce risk to the business
  • Maintain and evolve internal CI/CD systems, with an eye toward achieving true continuous deployment
  • Participate in regular on-call rotations

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience on a site reliability team supporting a SaaS platform
  • 3+ years of experience working with AWS, especially EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC Networking
  • Experience using Terraform to manage production infrastructure
  • Experience running Kubernetes in production
  • Must be comfortable working in a highly-automated, infrastructure-as-code driven infrastructure (GitOps)

Desired Qualifications
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of infrastructure and software architecture and design
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD build tools and pipelines
  • Solid understanding of cloud and application security, identity, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring principles, best practices, and implementation
  • Experience with service mesh/service registration technologies
  • Experience working on a team leveraging Agile/Scrum methodologies
