Job Description Summary:
The Customer Success Platform team is looking for a highly talented, self-driven, proven software engineer to take on the challenge of building Customer Engagement and Solutions Platform. As an engineer in our development team, you will be responsible for the development of key building blocks in messaging, conversational AI, natural language processing, and omni-channel platforms. These platforms enable developers to build innovative, robust, and delightful applications for PayPal customers. You will work closely with product, architects and other teams to understand the business needs and deliver the capabilities of the platform.

Job Description:

The Customer Success Platform team is looking for a highly talented, self-driven, proven software engineer to take on the challenge of building Customer Engagement and Solutions Platform. As an engineer in our development team, you will be responsible for the development of key building blocks in messaging, conversational AI, natural language processing, and omni-channel platforms. These platforms enable developers to build innovative, robust, and delightful applications for PayPal customers. You will work closely with product, architects and other teams to understand the business needs and deliver the capabilities of the platform.

A peek on our day to day responsibilities:
  • Work with product owner in understanding product requirements
  • Collaborate in identifying technical gaps and dependencies of the requirements
  • Join agile ceremonies
  • Design, document, and present solution and implementation
  • Implement and deliver requirements to production with quality including test automation and monitoring
  • Involved in code review lifecycle and quality discussions
  • Support integration, inner-source implementation, releases, and production features
  • Have fun as a team (yes, this is important)

Skills that you will bring to the team:
  • Solid foundational knowledge of computer engineering and intellectual curiosity to understand the business.
  • 2+ years experience in backend development.
  • Active hands-on with Java
  • Strong problem-solving skills and software fundamentals
  • Passion for developing robust, scalable software systems.
  • Strong OOP skills, ability to analyze requirements and prepare design.
  • Experience with REST API's, Web Services, Unit Testing, Java Build tools
  • Maven/Git/Continuous integration, SQL
