RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer to work in their Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC office (3 days in office, 2 days wfh) in a hybrid schedule.Summary:As a Software Engineer you will work with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve the customers' experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. You will develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives.REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Software Engineer with 2-4 years of experience with React JS, Node JS and React Native
- Database management systems - 2-4+ years
- Coding, testing, and designing software - 2-4+ years
- Software development methodologies - 2-4+ years
- 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and Node.js
- 2+ years of experience with Angular or a similar front-end framework is desired, but not mandatory
- 4+ years of experience in developing RESTful APIs
- At least 3 years of experience with databases, with a strong preference for experience in document databases like MongoDB
- React Native with mobile development experience
- Understanding of asynchronous development and data security principles
- Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha or Jest and familiarity with TDD/BDD methodologies
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable and well-documented code, and perform thorough code reviews
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Showcases Project/Feature level work to their team and senior technical leadership
- Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe
- Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool
- Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns
- Demonstrated knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development
- Demonstrated knowledge of dependent systems (e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
