Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.
This is a technical, hands-on code engineering role located in NW Arkansas. The Software Engineer 2 will be working with business critical Financial Data as part of a high performing Agile team, solving problems at Walmart's unmatched scale.

What you'll bring:
- Develop complex analytical pipelines using Apache Spark and other streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues in the pipelines composing of Elastic Search, Kafka, REST APIs.
- Design solutions using NoSQL technologies such as Elastic Search, Scylla DB and Cassandra.
- Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), Testing or any other process (as applicable).
- Analyze application logs, activity data, performance data and provide analysis using tools such as Grafana, Spotlight, etc.
About Walmart Global Tech
- Experience designing and implementing REST API's (eg. Akka actors, Scala Play Framework).
- Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages Java, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with Apache Spark and Kafka.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting issues in NoSQL databases and Google Cloud Services.
