Position Summary:

Ivanti is currently seeking a Software Engineer (software developer, software programmer) who will get excited working to deliver next generation device management capabilities for macOS devices to customers around the world through Ivanti products and services. A software engineer on this team will be a cross-functional member working from the South Jordan, Utah office. (Given the current pandemic situation, a work-from-home option is currently used by the team.) We are looking for a candidate who can work within a team of engineers focused on delivering products and features for macOS, with a variety of skills and experience levels, while collaborating with others outside of the team to build industry leading systems management software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• As part of the macOS Agent team, develop new endpoint management features for use by Ivanti's large, worldwide IT customer base
• Work as a member of a team who is responsible for coding, validating, debugging, reliability, performance analysis and the ongoing operational aspects of the product in an Agile environment. We own our solutions, end to end.
• Deliver quality code via unit and integration testing through a suite of automated tests
• Contribute to all aspects of product and feature design, development, and validation.
• Join our Apple Technologies Guild, and participate in a larger, company-wide (and worldwide) community focused on Apple Technologies and how to use them to create better solutions for our customers

Experience / Skills Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
• Five or more years of software development experience, at least 2 years of macOS development experience
• Must be a great teammate, with strong communication skills
• Self-motivated software engineer who loves problem solving and helping others solve problems
• Loves to learn and quickly master new technologies
• Able to help design / architect solutions
• Programming languages: Objective-C, Swift.
• Platforms/Runtimes: macOS development experience is required
• Technologies: macOS application development, using Apple and 3rd party frameworks, Xcode

These are added pluses:

• macOS: bash, macOS internals, launchd, system extensions, xpc services, keychain and other security topics, installer package creation, Apple MDM services, experience using cross-platform libraries, App Store submissions, everything else that makes macOS a rich, rewarding development platform.
• Cross-platform C++, *NIX development experience
• Unit testing & automated testing
• Jira, Azure DevOps, git, GitHub
• Cloud services/SaaS with Azure or AWS, Web Services, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, .net
• XML, JSON, HTTP/CSS, HTML, TLS, secure software development
• Development methodologies: Agile software development including Scrum or Kanban
