Zurich (Anoka, MN) seeks a Software Test Engineer to work with the Crop Technology unit within Information Technology. Specific duties include: develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation, specifically by performing functional testing, system testing, regression testing and performance testing for the scheduled releases and reporting defects through QA testing tools; collaborate with Agile team members and provide input for the product backlog, sprint planning, development, demo, and retrospect governing Agile principles; analyze user needs and software requirements, specifically the requirement specifications, design documents, and technical specifications and provide feedback to the Agile team; document the test plans, test strategies, and test results by utilizing various software tools; develop and execute complex test scripts through test automation tools and develop web API Automation and Continuous Integration Testing with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) framework; create reusable framework for BDD Testing and step definitions by the programing languages; create test metrics report, status report and send to the management; provide guidance and training to less experienced team members; perform Root Cause Analysis of production defects on daily basis and provide feedback to Production Support team; and provide support for System Test and Production Release deployment. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely is available.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as Software Developer, Associate Consultant, or similar position working in the Systems Development or Testing Area. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: planning development and testing activities for Agile mode projects; working with Business Analysts and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to provide the testing effort estimation; develop the web enterprise applications for both the back end and UI service components; working on the Release Engineering automation process for the SDLC; working with SOA WebServices (REST), JavaScript, IBM DB2, Quick Test Professional (QTP), and IBM-RFT. Additionally, must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: programming SQL using SQL Server DB; developing the Automated Acceptance testing using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) framework; automating service API components using Ready API and Cucumber (Specflow, C#); and automating the UI components using Protractor, TestNG, and Selenium. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely is available.
