Ardurra seeks a Solid Waste Project Manager to join our team in Tampa, FL.

Primary Function

The successful candidate will serve as Project Manager overseeing a team of professionals on projects involving the planning, design, analyses, permitting and construction of solid waste facilities.

The successful candidate will also be provided with opportunities to be involved with and manage water, wastewater and utilities infrastructure design and construction projects.

Primary Duties

• Manage and participate in the design and permitting of solid waste facilities including evaluating alternatives, engineering studies and preliminary/detailed design
• Communicating with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and other professionals as required for the completion of the project
• Preparing and/or reviewing technical engineering drawings, specifications and cost estimates
• Conducting constructability and quality control reviews of design plans and specifications
• Providing construction management services and site visits for the designed projects
• Candidate will be able to perform in various roles in response to client and project requirements in support of projects involving a wide variety of waste management facilities such as materials recovery facilities, customer dropoff and service centers, and waste transfer stations
• This person must be able to integrate into a rapidly growing solid waste practice and interface with a number of existing subject matter experts

Education and Experience Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the design, permitting and document preparation for waste facilities
• B.S. in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering
• Florida PE license, or ability to obtain a Florida PE license, preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interface with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies is critical
• Excellent technical writing skills for use in development of engineering reports and studies
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• Highly self-motivated, able to anticipate and initiate subsequent project tasks, working independently or with minimal instruction
• Able to work efficiently within a predetermined project budget and schedule
• Strong organizational skills, and ability to function efficiently within a project team environment
• Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process
