Alumni Ventures Specialist
Position SummaryResponsibilities
Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to program objectives.
Develop program assessment methods for evaluation and improvement.
Maintain a high-level of satisfaction, quality, and performance
Managing the flow of communications and information through dedicated processes and systems will be crucial. The Alumni Ventures Specialist Manager will develop many of these processes and systems, respectively.
Maintain and continuously expand upon a network of functional practitioners, consultants, alumni, investors, and others who are beneficial to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Develop goals and processes to achieve network expansion.
Field various inquiries from Alumni entrepreneurs. Often, inquiries will be unique, and the development of a novel response may be required.
Evaluate and assess Alumni Venture Support Program to enable continuous improvement and evaluation.
Stay current with entrepreneurship trends at the university, in the region and state, and trending innovation topics.
Stay connected with student entrepreneurs who plan to continue developing their idea/startup beyond graduation.
Monitor and oversee projects related to the Burgess Alumni Venture Support Program in some cases, work through others to reach a successful outcome.
Utilize and maintain project-tracking software individually and as part of a team.
Ability to travel at least 10%.

Must be able to work at a computer for long periods

Required DegreeBachelors
Minimum RequirementsMinimum Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of related experience in working with startups and/or early stage companies.
Master's degree preferred with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in related areas.
