Position Overview

The Specialist, Americas Product Management will be responsible for managing a product(s) and ideas related to the US Foodservice and Food & Beverage Consumption businesses. This Product Management Specialist will play an active role in executing and delivering the overall product strategy and continuously identify ways to enhance client value. This individual will collaborate closely across NPD to ensure shared business objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Industry Immersion: Actively monitor the competitive landscape and maintain a current assessment of offerings and positioning relative to NPD; Gather and evaluate information on industry trends, client needs and satisfaction, and monitor and improve product usage
  • Product Strategy and Revenue Growth: Execute and deliver the product strategy for the product by working closely with Product Leadership and cross-functional teams; Collaborate and provide recommendations on pipeline planning for your product(s) lifecycle; Achieve revenue goals for product
  • Product Discovery and Roadmap Management: Actively learn and develop understanding of product fundamentals; Provide thoughtful enhancement recommendations specifically related to client value and market need; Assist in gathering of information pertaining to product requirements and enhancements; Prioritize backlog and execute against product roadmap to keep products relevant in the industry; Identify new product opportunities which enable revenue growth
  • Product Development: Evaluate product ideas and work with Product Leadership and clients to vet and refine; Support client feedback, competitive information, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to design new product ideas and requirements; Work with implementation team on executing and maintaining product requirements
  • Product Marketing: Execute go-to-market initiatives for your product and the product portfolio including pricing and packaging, rate card updates, target audience analysis, positioning, competitive set, and business application, collaborating closely with internal and cross-functional teams; Create and maintain content for client-ready collateral, and train internal partners on the features/benefits of new and existing products or enhancements


Skills and Other Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in data or digital product management, market research and/ or experience in management consulting
  • Product experience working with data/information; Experience in building digital/software products; SaaS and Business Intelligence tool experience a plus
  • Proven ability to analyze customer needs and goals to assist in generating thoughtful recommendations and solutions that exceed customer expectations and expand revenue opportunities
  • Understands product components and supports the process of development, deployment, and post-launch activity
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective, confident verbal and written communication skills; Should be able to develop accurate written materials;
  • Action and results orientated; Should be able to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes; Attention to detail.
  • Ability to connect the organization's strategy with own efforts to achieve them; Demonstrates a positive attitude; Understands the company's mission, vision, values, and goals
  • Ability to represent and/or support the user experience of the products; Ability to conduct an engaging product demo as well as create an example of why an enhancement is necessary
  • Expert in all MS Office products (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Bachelors of Arts/Science or above; Master's Degree desired
