Alteryx is searching for a Senior Analytics Consultant (Machine Learning). This position is remote-friendly.

Position Overview:

Alteryx Machine Learning Architects design, build, and productionize machine learning use cases, support technical training to upskill associates on Alteryx machine learning technologies, and provide thought leadership through proven best practices and reference architectures.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support and architect enterprise-scale solutions utilizing emerging platforms and technologies.
  
• Deliver standard, customized and/or strategic, senior level solution demonstrations and presentations outlining the functional capabilities, competitive advantages, and business benefits of the Alteryx solutions as they apply to client needs.
  
• Provide recommended best practices on model building, deployment, and tech stack integration.
  
• Leverages knowledge of a domain, industry, or Alteryx Solutions to increase Alteryx's credibility primarily in sales situations.
  
• Engage customers to extract critical technical and business drivers that may position company deliverables.
  
• Build deep technical enablement materials for customers to understand the latest features, how they work, their value, and customer integration.
  
• Design reference models of proven solutions and educate sales teams on their implementation
  
• Works proactively with Professional Services/Consulting resources to strategize on opportunities, cross-training and knowledge transfer.
  
• Engage with IT leaders to ease concerns about security and governance.
  
• Evaluate and drive new and key technologies and methodologies including, but not limited to: Machine Learning, Distributed Computing, Cloud Computing, Containers, DevOps.
  
• Knowledgeable of AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud services, how customers leverage them, and how Alteryx integrates.
  
• Knowledgeable of machine learning techniques and environments, including industry leaders such as Python, R, Spark, and burgeoning environments such as Julia.
  
• Travel requirements up to 30%.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing role including technical support or consulting
  
• Demonstrated thought leader in a single domain or industry (publishes articles, leads demand generation activities, and speaks in the business track at conferences/events).
  
• 3+ years of Alteryx platform experience including but not limited to Designer R and/or Python tools, R-based Predictive Tools, Alteryx Designer Machine Learning tools, or cloud-based Alteryx ML.
  
• 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of ML use cases.
  
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  
• 2+ years of independently delivering data science, ML projects.
  
• Experience with traditional RDBMS databases, NoSQL databases, and Hadoop.
  
• Experience with Java, C++, Python, R, and other procedural languages Knowledge of statistical analysis, data structures, model training, scoring.
  
• Proficient in data exploration techniques in Alteryx, SQL, Python, or ETL tools.
  
• Collaborative - able to build strong relations that enable robust debate and discussion.
  
• Leadership ability to lead a small team of junior data scientists to drive results.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audience.
  
• 3+ years of experience with machine learning techniques; ex: classification, regression, or reinforcement learning.
  
• 2+ years of cloud experience in GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms.
  
• Relevant certifications in Alteryx platform.
  
• Familiarity with text and image processing using modern NLP techniques.
  

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in Southern California, Colorado, Washington, and Rhode Island is $118,700 - $201,800.

The salary range for this role in New York City and Northern California is $129,500 - $220,200.

In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus and stock grants. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
