Overview

Falconwood is a woman-owned / veteran-owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects, focusing on acquisition, cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, and process development.

We have an immediate opening for a Sr. ITSM Engineer with experience migrating BMC Remedy's on-prem solution to BMC Helix (cloud-based). This position may require a minimum part-time presence at the client site to interface with the client and customers.
Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and technical execution to support shift of ONE-Net on-prem Remedy ITSM solution to BMC Helix.
• Facilitates the system development (encompassing hardware and/or software) through its entire life cycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis on domain expert involvement, risk/opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project.
• Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge.
• Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.
• Works well independently to take initiative and drive planning and execution efforts forward.

Qualifications

Required:

• SECRET Clearance
• Bachelors degree and 5+ years' of relevant experience or equivalent experience in systems architecture and design
• IAT Level II Certification (CISSP, CASP, or Security+)
• Windows OS or CCNA certification, or ability to obtain
• 3+ years of experience with BMC Helix ITSM
• 3+ years of experience with mid-to-enterprise scale networks
• Experience with architecting, designing, securing, installing, troubleshooting, and documenting integrated server or network solutions
• Experience in an Agile development environment

Preferred:

• Masters degree and 3+ years' relevant experience
• IAT Level III Certification
• Experience with BMC Remedy ITSM
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting a plus
• Experience with DevSecOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline tools
• Experience with deploying to IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure, including Compute, Network, Storage, and Backup
• Knowledge of API design and Object-Oriented principles
• Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
