Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift; 10 hour shifts

Position Summary:

Assist physicians in performing invasive procedures, coordinating care in an assigned room, and providing patient care. Responsible for optimizing team performance by overseeing the multi-disciplinary health care team. Will assist the RT Manager & Administrative Director of CVIL in organizing and directing technical and staff activities of a cardiology division which includes EP and Cath.

Education: .

Work requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program.
College courses in management preferred.

Work Experience:

Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic Technology. BA or BS degree preferred..

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must be licensed by the State of Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance as a Medical Radiation Technologist.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current ACLS/BLS Certification required.
  • CI or CV Registry is required or in Electrophysiology: Must have CI, CV, RCES, or HRS Certification

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology within specialty of Diagnostic/Interventional Cardiology or Electrophysiology.
  • Proficient in correlating radiographic and hemodynamic findings with the associated disease process.
  • For electrophysiology, the ability to correlate the surface ECG and intracardiac ECG's with advanced arrhythmias and to correlate the arrhythmias to cardiac anatomy through the use of 3D mapping.
  • Anticipates supplies and imaging modalities that may be needed during the procedure.
