SENIOR DESKTOP ENGINEER
One of The Select Group's top clients in Atlanta is in the immediate need of a skilled and experienced Desktop Engineer. This is a remote role, but the client is looking for local candidate. You must be willing to come onsite when needed. Candidate will be expected to work with technical teams on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments including Desktop Security, Desktop Lifecycle Management, Enterprise Patch Management Governance, Desktop and Application Virtualization, Vendor Management, etc. Please take a look at the job details, and if you are interested in pursuing, then apply ASAP!!!

SENIOR DESKOP ENGINEER REQUIRMENTS:

• Senior level experience in a Desktop Engineer role in an enterprise environment with proficient understanding and use of the following
  • Endpoint Operating Systems
  • Software Deployment
  • Desktop Virtualization
  • Application Virtualization
  • Patch Management/Remediation
  • Scripting Languages
  • Antivirus
  • Endpoint Encryption

SENIOR DESKTOP ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides Design, Support/Maintenance and Implementation of Desktops, Client applications, Printers and User Administration for the enterprise environment.
• Oversees workload of other Desktop Engineers and plans accordingly.
• Functions as subject matter expert for desktop/laptop hardware, Microsoft, packaging, and mobile technologies including iOS and Android.
• Conduct software release and patch management.
• Coordinate with IT personnel to deploy Citrix application updates and anti-virus patches.
• Act as a liaison to software vendors to maintain critical systems including Microsoft Windows/Office, Adobe, and other software deployment tools
• Responsible for end-to-end ownership of new technology implementations including assessment, identification, testing, deployment, and documentation of standard desktop hardware, software and mobile technologies
• Develops and maintains the enterprise engineering, design, and documentation.
• Design, testing, and maintenance of desktop images and image deployment
