Meet the team:

You will be part of the global corporate engineering team, tasked with advancing and optimizing our operations processes and equipment, both within our supplier network and for our internal manufacturing operations. This crucial role supports Dexcom's thrilling growth in delivering essential, life-changing products to our valued customers. As part of this dynamic and highly effective team, you will collaborate closely across multiple functions, gaining broad exposure to our entire product life cycle.

Where you come in:

  • You will hold responsibility for overseeing the entire lifecycle of assembly automation equipment, from design to qualification, on-market support, and end-of-life management across all our manufacturing sites.
  • You will lead efforts to enhance program execution, emphasizing right-first-time results and on-time delivery of automation assembly equipment while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Spearheading New Product Introductions will be a key aspect of your role, involving the evaluation of next-generation technologies and ensuring their seamless integration into existing processes.
  • You will drive on-market sustaining efforts, including change management, investigations, margin improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement programs, ensuring the long-term success, performance, and sustainability of our manufacturing operations.
  • Formulating and implementing a global automation validation strategy and streamlined validation processes will be part of your responsibilities, fostering efficiency while maintaining robust consistency and compliance across automation equipment and manufacturing sites.
  • Your leadership will play a crucial role in fostering a flexible organizational structure capable of swiftly responding to evolving project and site requirements in alignment with our expanding global manufacturing network and product roadmap.
  • Your decisions will have a direct impact on the overall success of the business; any errors could lead to critical delays in schedules, product availability, and/or product performance.
  • You will plan and direct all aspects of automation engineering activities within the organization, including setting goals, establishing priorities, managing resources, developing concepts and approaches, reviewing project progress and results, and making management decisions.

  • You will facilitate seamless communication between sites and global functions, contributing to risk management, technology transfer, and alignment with global quality standards.
  • In your cross-functional role, you will serve as the primary liaison with other management members, spanning engineering, manufacturing, clinical and regulatory affairs, quality assurance, quality control, and marketing.
  • You will foster a reputation for the engineering organization marked by high integrity, competitive leadership, and consistent performance through the timely delivery of quality products.

Travel Required:
  • 15-25%

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 17+ years of industry experience.
  • 13+ years of years of successful leadership experience in relevant industry.
