We're looking for a dynamic leader to oversee the design, research and digital content needs across our portfolio of leading restaurant brands, including Arby's, Baskin-Robbin's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin', Jimmy John's, and SONIC Drive-In. You will lead a team of digital UX/UI designers for both guest facing and corporate platforms across app, web, and more, to deliver best-in-class experiences for our customers, franchisees, and brands.

This is a crucial role with Inspire's Digital Guest Experience department and is key to Inspire's journey in elevating and growing our existing suite of digital solutions. To deliver on our aggressive multi-year roadmap and priorities, you will need to collaborate and learn and understand multi-brand business objectives, guest needs, Franchisee needs, product performance, and technical platforms. You will collaborate closely with our brand, loyalty, digital and product teams to prioritize and ensure all design efforts align to our digital strategy.

With much your team being given the option to be remote, this leader will also have the option to work out of the Atlanta support center, or from their home US location on EST hours, with frequent (at last 1x per month) travel to Atlanta.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive thought leadership in design thinking & user experience design across multiple restaurant brands, especially in the areas of order ahead, loyalty account management, catering ordering, and online delivery ordering.
  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of top performers in content management, UX research, product, interaction and graphic design
  • Present work persuasively and authoritatively to peers and senior leadership, while facilitating collaborative conversation that drive the best product outcomes and continually expand UX Design's value to the business
  • Build, enhance, and promote our digital design systems, to keep pace with industry trends and innovate our digital capabilities.
  • Key contributor to experimentation and A/B testing on our platforms

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Computer Science or related field required

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

  • 12 years' of experience designing user experiences for mobile apps, and responsive websites for mobile and desktop
  • 7 years' experience leading and managing creative teams
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating design thinking/process (may include, but not limited to…problem/solution, before/after, research, sitemaps, user-flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual concepts, style guides)
  • Experience developing and maintaining mature design systems, and design system framework
  • Experience building and designing reusable component libraries with shared patterns and styling (Atomic Design principles, etc.)
  • Experience leading teams or clients remotely

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

  • Proficient in a variety of design tools (including but not limited to… Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, XD, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, Axure, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation and adaptability teamwork skills
  • Ability to articulate design thinking through whiteboard sketches to high fidelity interactive prototypes
  • Passionate about design with the ability to give and receive feedback
  • Knowledge of UX best practices for applications and cross-platform devices
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and how it effects front-end design
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines with attention to detail while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Promote, by example, a positive culture of achievement and getting things done by being responsive and timely, by finding win-win solutions, and by solving problems with divergent, expansive, design thinking methods
  • Experience working on shared platforms, marketplaces, and/or eCommerce channels
  • UX research proficiency in quantitative and qualitative human-centered approach
  • Understanding of agile development practices and project management
  • Experience with Google Optimize or other quantitative/qualitative experience/testing software
  • Knowledge of motion design principles and/or executional motion graphics skills are a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (location dependent)
  • Work with agency and 3rd party resources on larger digital initiatives, design needs, resourcing and roadmap management
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineering, creative agencies, and marketing teams to create wireframes, sketches, prototypes, and visual designs
  • Advocate and embody customer-obsession, inside and outside the UXDesign organization, resulting in simple, innovative, enjoyable digital products/experiences
  • Own the front-end system design experience across all owned consumer channels
  • Translate end-user requirements, goals, and desired outcomes into customer personas, journeys, and holistic product experiences
  • Deliver experience designs, UI/UX wireframes, interaction designs, and prototypes that align to the desired outcomes of customer personas
  • Work within a cross-functional team in an Agile/SCRUM development cycle to deliver industry-leading innovations that drive commerce
  • Oversee and approve the development team's implementation of approved designs
  • Consider and advocate for the holistic user experience; translates requests into solutions that will align with existing experience design patterns and strategies
  • Cultivate your own understanding of user problems and opportunities for improvement and sharing your insights
  • Participate in design and code reviews
