Located in Southaven,MS , this individual must provide future strategy, leadership, technical, and administrative mentorship across interdepartmental boundaries as related to global spare parts support of minimally invasive robotic surgical equipment support.  This key management role will be challenged to effectively lead the Services Logistics Department resources required to support global business growth demands and support installed equipment in the field.  This individual must have demonstrated track record of achieving results through a cross functional global environment.  This individual must possess high level leadership, team building skills, coaching, and mentorship skills.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the services logistics team responsible for global spare parts shipments, global storage solutions, and global spare parts fulfillment strategy.
  • Create monitoring and reporting systems providing detailed shipment information by field service engineer and by supplier for executive review.
  • Create monitoring and reporting systems for distributor cycle counts, procedures, install base and/or other data related to the distributor management
  • Manage the performance of 3PL providers including on time shipments, shipment cost, customer satisfaction, and overall logistics supplier account management. 
  • Lead, strategize, and execute the global Forward Stocking Location strategy  
  • Liaise with Services Planning team to maintain appropriate Customer Support Inventory levels to ensure proper usage of the 3PL resources and shipping methods to support the end customer and value proposition.  
  • Manage execution of daily shipping activities
  • Manage part request fulfillment 3PL infrastructure to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest possible levels (i.e. user request, order management, warehousing management, distribution services)
  • Provide business tools and training to facilitate Distributor communications related to servicing activities
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams as a Services representative to drive department and organizational needs
  • Develop and maintain effective KPIs to monitor progress and evaluate opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain department operating procedures (DOPs) and work instructions. Perform other projects or duties that may be assigned

Skill/Job Requirements:

(Competency is based on: education, training, skills and experience.) In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must have:

  • Managerial experience 8 to 10 years, proven leadership and motivational skills
  • Bachelor degree and  8 to 10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent understanding of Service Logistics, Customer Service, Field Service, Production Planning, Materials management, RMA processing, and Quality & Regulatory Affairs operational and informational needs
  • Previous work experience in the aforementioned disciplines with emphasis on Service Logistics and Field Service support (prior work experience with a medical equipment manufacturer is desirable)
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing practices is preferred
  • Understanding of Business Information Systems (i.e. SAP, Clarify, Agile) and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced environment with little supervision
  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage cross functional projects
