About the Role

In this role, you will be part of the Customer Experience Strategic Sourcing team supporting the Gap Inc portfolio of brands: Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. You will partner with our brands & corporate functions across the globe, to continuously drive value across non-merchandise categories.

The leader will have experience in the industry/categories to support the scope of work requirements, including understanding the category, key suppliers, pricing models, & performance models working to refine the business's sourcing strategy ensuring alignment with business goals. You will ensure we Do the Right Thing as an organization by optimizing our purchasing power, building, and maintaining strategic vendor relationships, and contract management.

What You'll Do

  • Support the business' short-term and long-term plans through functional/technical knowledge relevant to these specific sourcing categories.
  • Drive cost optimization, excellence in sourcing capabilities and minimize risk through knowledge of strategic sourcing functions (category reviews, RFXs, market intelligence, business partner influencing strategies, contract management, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with vendors and internal associates to collaborate, influence, and execute an effective sourcing strategy to optimize our financial position and reduce costs.
  • Provide insight into industry trends, market intelligence, and innovation to business partners.
  • Maintain a comprehensive supplier management program ensuring quality, reliability, and risk mitigation.
  • Responsible for end results of team and shared responsibility over resources, budget, and adherence to policies

Who You Are

  • Experience in implementing key strategic sourcing functions (category reviews, RFXs, market intelligence, business partner influencing, contract management, negotiations, supplier relationship management, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment, and still achieve high levels of performance and sustainable results to the team.
  • Skilled influencer and able to drive timelines and decisions across a complex, multi-tiered, organization and with global suppliers
  • Ability to successfully collaborate across varied functions and levels within the organization including senior internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies, and colleagues to drive results and influence change
  • Continue to develop category knowledge and regularly leverages industry experts, associations, peers, and stakeholders to identify and benchmark best practices
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills to influence egotiate the overall sourcing process
  • Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions to benefit Gap Inc
