Job Summary: Plansand Develops bidder lists, prepares requests for proposals, reviews supplierproposals, selects qualified sources, prepares purchase contracts, and providesguidance to less experienced buyers.Serves as a focal point between organizations and suppliers tocommunicate, clarify and resolve procurement problems and issues.

Essential Job Duties:

1.Independentlycommit the company by planning and authorizing purchase contracts, contractchanges and other procurement instruments having signatory authority.

2.Leadprocurement team and managing the total procurement effort for assignedprojects/programs, including directing such tasks as fact finding, price andcost analysis, source selection, negotiations, and bidder briefings anddebriefings.

3.Leadon-site audits and supplier assessments as necessary to qualify, evaluate anddevelop suppliers.

4.Improvesupplier performance by monitoring cost, quality, and schedule compliance;initiating and implementing appropriate action to resolve problems; and,mediating conflicts and establish resolution with customers and suppliers.

5.Manageprocurement packages by gaining a thorough understanding of supplier-customerrelationships; by developing a working knowledge of own organization'srelationships with other TIMCO organizations; and, by developing andimplementing and authorizing actions to incorporate with other functional disciplines.

6.Demonstrateknowledge and understanding of procurement basics, ethical business conduct,legal principles, and protection of TIMCO, supplier and customer proprietary databy complying with company policies, procedures and accepted businesspractices.

7.Maintaincontractual integrity of procurement packages by reviewing, determining andincorporating appropriate State and Federal regulations, contract flow-downrequirements, and other special terms and conditions peculiar to individualcontracts types.

8.Developother procurement team members by providing guidance on technical procurementissues.

9.Fosterincreased productivity and advancement opportunities by personal commitment toprofessional development and by practicing continuous improvement of processes.

10.SupportCorporate goals for small business/small disadvantaged business by promotingthe use of qualified sources and by seeking, encouraging and assisting newcandidates to become qualified.

SecondaryDuties:

Perform other duties as assigned by the Directorof Supply Chain Mgt.

Accountable to the Director of Supply Chain Mgtin all daily functions.

JobQualifications:

Minimum

1.Fouryear college degree or equivalent work experience as a Procurement Agent.

2.Tenyears procurement experience leading to a solid understanding of theorganization's processes and product flow, the ability to interpret engineeringdata where applicable and a demonstrated ability to make quick and accuratedecisions.

3.Proficientin MS Office software applications.

4.Goodwritten and oral communication skills and the traits of an effective teammember.

5.Goodorganizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and accurately performduties.

6.Musthave independent problem solving skills and the discipline to persevere untilproblems are solved.

7.Willingnessto continue personal growth and development.

PhysicalRequirements:

1.Normaloffice environment where approximately 80% of work is performed in a sittingposition with the remaining time walking and moving around the office area,Stores area and Hanger area.

2.Filingduties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, etc.

3.Normalmental and visual attention along with manual coordination for keyboardoperations is necessary approximately 50% of the time.

4.Normalor corrected hearing and vision are required.

5.Internationaland domestic travel required, up to 20%.

6.Mustbe able to lift and carry 15 lbs.

7.Mustbe able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
