Senior Project Manager, Global Marketing provides strategic and operational support and project management across the CNS and nephrology assets within Otsuka's Global Marketing team. This role includes working cross-functionally with members at different levels of the organizations and across all commercial departments including: Global Marketing, Market Research, Analytics, Medical Affairs, Value & Real World Evidence, Clinical, Market Access, Patient Advocacy, Government Affairs and other external teams (Alliance, vendors, etc.).

The individual selected for this position will be responsible for providing strategic input into development of leadership presentations as well as operational and project management support in the following areas:

  • Early Commercialization: Develop and maintain cross-functional timelines for multiple assets in the pipeline to ensure workstreams are on track. Maintain clear understanding of key clinical timelines and workstreams and identify delays in a timely manner. Provide clear and compelling project status updates to the global marketing team and to senior leadership. Identify risks as appropriate and work with the appropriate stakeholders to develop and execute on a mitigation plan
  • In-line Global/Regional Meeting Coordination- Maintain regional launch dates and other key information. Collaborate with key stakeholders from multiple regions to capture updates, preparing and collating content, notes, and follow-ups.
  • Global Asset Plan Management - Facilitate the process to develop annual strategic and tactical plans and recommend solutions to increase efficiency. Hold and lead discussion breakout groups with key stakeholders across a variety of functional teams. Develop clear and compelling executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Other - Serve as a point of contact for external agencies and vendors to coordinate vendor presentations and provide operational support for project execution. Help lead the development of key documents such as governance materials that may require inputs from multiple stakeholders under tight timelines


The right candidate for this position has the ability to be a strategic partner with the global marketing leads, have strong project management skills and have the ability to work across the organization and influence multiple stakeholders. They will have attention to detail and be able to proactively identify emerging risks and offer mitigation plans. They should also be able to collaborate and adapt to various work styles, needs, and priorities during tight timelines. They should also be comfortable facilitating meetings and working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Project.

Required:
  • BA/BS degree
  • Expertise in independently managing large projects with multiple workstreams
  • Experience partnering directly with brand teams and brand leadership
  • Advanced PowerPoint and deck creation skills
  • Results-driven with a high sense of urgency and accountability: ability to meet business objectives, deliverables, and timely completion of initiatives with a cross-functional team
  • High standards for accuracy in written and verbal communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to achieve established deadlines
  • Ability to function effectively under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity, and ability to navigate competing demands
  • 5-10 years of pharmaceutical industry and/or marketing operations experience
  • Strong capability as an adaptive learner
  • Experience in collaboration and project management software, especially Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Project
