POSITION SUMMARY:

The QC Systems Specialist will be specializing in material and vendor management for the QC department with oversight and consideration to the department budget. The primary focus will be on review and maintenance of the inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and reagents to support laboratory operations, and maintain the PM/Calibration schedules of QC-led equipment. This role is an individual contributor role that focuses on maintaining compliance for respective areas, creating, and maintaining scheduling and keep on time with SAP end dates, review of critical data for assessment, and ensue timely communication with management. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to prioritize work based on the needs of Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory, GMT and Supply Chain.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Subject Matter Expect (SME) for materials and vendor management for the QC department. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and reagents to support laboratory operations and overview of yearly department budget.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance and calibration schedules and vendor scheduling coordination with QC-led equipment.
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of accurate and comprehensive test forms for USDA submission, documenting all relevant information required for compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, VMRD, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless communication and compliance with USDA requirements.
  • Review investigational, prototype for completion and thoroughness and apply Usage Decision to batch.
  • Compose China Test reports in accord with the Chinese Quality Standards.
  • Working knowledge of regulations for testing of biological products; including 9CFR and European Pharmacopeia
  • Maintain appropriate departmental cGMP documentation.
  • Reviewing and identifying processes, methods etc. to ensure compliance with Regulations and filings.
  • Completion of day-to-day responsibilities with minimal interaction and direction from team leader
  • Support of the team leader for project management and communications
  • Support and participate in inspections, as required.
  • Follow all Zoetis Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • BA/BS degree in scientific discipline preferred and/or 2-4 years of SAP/zLIMs knowledge and experience highly desirable.
  • Good mathematical, science, and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills required.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Good organizational and time management skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, QTS, pDocs/Veeva Vault and SAP/zLIMS
  • Experience with 9CFR & EU regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of Outlines of Production/Special Outlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, kneel, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently.
  • Must be able to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 25 lbs
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • We sometimes have to lift 50lb feed bags
