The Sr Systems Engineer is responsible for design, development, integration, verification, and certification of avionics solutions incorporating the company product line. Our engineers work in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to learn from and influence multiple programs and domains regularly. Our systems engineers utilize a variety of skills on a regular basis including synthesis of new and existing architectures that meld commercial and military avionics functionality, systems engineering development best practices, debug and test in an integrated lab environment, and providing written and verbal correspondence across multiple international boundaries/management levels/domains. Responsibilities of this position include:
-Providing direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues
-Present technical information and status to engineering leadership
-Work with other team members and domains to maintain and develop requirements and design to satisfy customer and certification needs
-Continually work to maintain compliance with certification requirements as well as company standards and best practices
-Support formal verification events during major deliveries
-Continually develop and improve practices and processes related to development and certification
-Develops software design documentation, test requirements and procedures
-Support continuous integration testing

-A successful candidate should have experience working successfully in highly collaborative and co-located environments, demonstrate the ability to take ownership of tasks and meet commitments spanning multiple stakeholders, possess exceptional written and oral communications skills, the ability to break down and execute on complex tasks with minimal instructions, and have a keen aptitude for technical work that spans multiple levels of detail. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with avionics, familiarity with the company equipment, experience with multiple life-cycle phases, a strong lean/agile mentality, and a passion to build great products.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Engineering Tool experience (DOORS, ALM, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, etc.)

Simulation and Testing
-Agile Software Development experience
-Test Automation (Python) experience
-Embedded Software experience
-Ethernet bus protocol experience (TCP/UDP)

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in the appropriate discipline and 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
