Job Description

Founded in 1906, Lasko is the largest provider of portable fans and heaters in the United States. Lasko designs, manufactures, assembles, and distributes their products which are sold in North America, South America, and Asia. In addition to portable fans and heaters, Lasko designs and manufactures ventilation products under the Air King brand. In November 2016 the Lasko family sold a majority equity stake in the company to Comvest Partners, a leading middle-[1]market private equity firm, with participation from JW Levin Management Partners. With a successful track record of partnering with founder and family-owned businesses, Comvest is well positioned to continue to grow Lasko via acquisitions, global growth initiatives, product line extensions, and operational resource enhancements.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant position performs a variety of accounting duties and project oriented tasks to support the financial reporting needs of Lasko.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Month-end close:
Preparing monthly journal entries
Analyze GL accounts
Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements including assessing accuracy and completeness
Analyze financial statement flux analysis for variances
Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
Maintain expense reimbursement system
Prepare documentation for external auditors
Act as a backup for accounts payable as needed
Ad hoc projects

Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually with little supervision
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Experience: 2 years
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related area
Proficient in MS Excel
