Company specializing in transporting packages for businesses seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join the team at their Sorrento Valley location. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing various accounting functions, including accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, billing, and financial reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid background in accounting. Salary of $60-70k!

Responsibilities:

• Handle higher-level accounts receivable tasks and oversee collections for approximately 150 clients.
• Process high-volume payroll for over 250 employees.
• Perform accounts payable duties, including weekly check runs.
• Generate weekly and monthly billing statements for clients.
• Manage credit card transactions and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately.
• Utilize QuickBooks for financial recordkeeping and reporting.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Utilize Kronos for timekeeping and payroll management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Ability to handle high-volume payroll processing.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Human Resources experience is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
